Phoenix report

Hello TACo's

Well, life has been interesting on the road. I've decided that 1) I'm not too keen on business travel and 2) Arizona has some might spectacular skies as some of you may know.

Last night after our group dinner, I got my binoculars and went in front of the hotel (as I did not rent a car). It was "dark" and the seeing pretty steady. While there was some sky glow from the metro area, I would say it's about 65% less light polluted here than the Bay Area.

Here is a list of what I looked at before turning into bed:

Those are the items that held my attention. One good thing about this trip is that it forced me to come up with a different solution to my skygazing desires. The binos are great and so portable. (However, I really miss my telescope!)

Tonight looks like it's going to be a good night also. I will be out there.
