Star-B-Que

>How did the Star-B-Que go? -- Jay Freeman

It looked like the number attending the Star-B-Que was smaller than other years.

There were very few observers behind the ranger's house.

The "Coulter", "over look parking lot", and "sw parking lot" were very busy with observers.

The skies looked poor in the afternoon but got quite good in the evening. The seeing was quite good. I was set up on Coulter row. I used the AP 130EDT and 90EDF. I was looking at the more interesting and brighter deep sky objects until Jupiter and Saturn got above the trees. Crazy Ed's 10" f/6 Newt. was giving very nice views of Jupiter. The seeing at the time was not as good as early in the evening.

The air was warm until about 1 am. Then there was a little drop in temperature, maybe 10 deg F.
