Observing 5/16, 17

5/16/99 Observing, South San Jose, conditions steady, sky glow moderate, moisture content low, good transparency, temperature cool 55 degrees. Found detailed chart of area in Sky Atlas 2000, appendix B, Virgo, to help easily identify objects. 10" DOB.

Began about 2130 hours 5/16. Primary Target area Leo, Coma Berenices. Finished around 2230 hours 5/16.

New objects:

Tried but can't find:

5/17/99 Observing, South San Jose, conditions high clouds, sky glow moderate, moisture content high, poor transparency, temperature cool 55 degrees.

Didn't get dark enough until 2115 or so. 10" DOB. Done by 2200 - clouds way too bad.
