Got a look at Mars through the 4.5-inch newt in pretty poor seeing.
Though it wasn't able to manage 225x, it held 180x pretty well and I was able to see Syris well and Utopia pretty well. There were a couple of other dark features but a definite ID was iffy.
Oddly, the lighter features were not as distinct; the pole was pretty hard to pick out and even Hellas seemed muted. Spider flare?
